What Makes the 2017 Volkswagen Touareg the Ultimate Fishing Vehicle? Now that the snow has melted and the temperatures are warming up, we are excited to get outside to work hard and play harder. In addition to catching a round of golf, one of our favorite spring/summertime activities is fishing. Of course, having an awesome and capable vehicle will definitely help you catch that big one! Here at Speedcraft Volkswagen, we walked through our inventory to decide which VW model is the ultimate fishing vehicle, and we believe that it is the beloved Touareg. Although the 2017 Volkswagen Touareg is classified as a luxury crossover, it is a real workhorse thanks to its awesome utility features! A Powerful Engine That Can Tow Your Boat If you are serious about fishing, you need a boat to get you out on the water. And when you have a boat, you need a vehicle that has the strength to tow it. The 2017 Volkswagen Touareg is outfitted with a 280 horsepower 3.6L V6 engine, which allows the luxury crossover to pull up to 7,716 pounds. That is more than enough for either a pontoon or a 20-foot fiberglass bass boat, plus engine, fuel, and the trailer! 4Motion AWD to Help You Get to Your Favorite Fishing Spot Many anglers have a secret spot where they have extremely good luck with fishing, and sometimes, it is nice to get to that spot quickly. With the standard 4Motion AWD system, you can get off the road and closer to the lake without worry. And your Touareg will not tell anyone where your secret spot is! Even if you just need to load/unload at the local marina, having that extra power and traction will be nice when the ramp is wet. Lots of Cargo Space for Gear and to Bring the Big Catch Home One of the best utility features of the 2017 Volkswagen Touareg is its interior space. Up to five passengers can fit inside the luxury crossover, so your family or a few fishing buddies can come along. Behind the second row of seats is 32.1 cubic feet of cargo space for poles, tackle, life jackets, and coolers. For bigger trips, the cargo space can be increased to 64 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down. Begin Your Fishing Adventures in a 2017 Touareg from Speedcraft VW!
