Volkswagen announces the new limited edition 2017 #PinkBeetle

2017 Volkswagen #PinkBeetle features The masses have spoken! Volkswagen just announced earlier this month that highly anticipated #PinkBeetle will go into production for the 2017 model year. Show last year at the 2015 New York Auto Show as a concept model, this unique spin on the classic VW combined with a stroke of social marketing genius is the first vehicle to ever be named as its own hashtag. Here’s what we know so far about the 2017 Volkswagen #PinkBeetle. We know that the 2017 #PinkBeetle will be offered just in limited quantities across the US as both a coupe and a convertible, and in those models will sit a 1.8-liter turbocharged, direct-injection TSI® engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine option will allow the #PinkBeetle to produce an impressive 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque for a drive that’s exhilarating from the start. The unique look of the Volkswagen Beetle’s Fresh Fuchsia Metallic exterior color is eye-catching, to say the least. Add on accenting gloss-black mirror caps and black running boards and you’ve got one attractive coupe that’s great for any occasion. The #PinkBeetle will be fitted with 18-inch wheels with a 5-spoke Twister design. Both versions of the model will also feature Bi-Xenon headlights and LED Daytime Running Lights as well as LED taillights and license plate lighting as a standard. Interior design The bright exterior of the #PinkBeetle is complemented by its striking black interior. The Black dashboard features pink accenting and a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel. The Pink Club cloth seats inside the limited edition model might be familiar to fans of the Volkswagen GTI, however instead of the GTI’s sporty red striping, drivers of the #PinkBeetle get – you guessed it – pink plaid to match the exterior perfectly. Each model will also feature the Volkswagen Composition Media infotainment system which comes equipped with a 6.3-inch capacitive touch screen that functions with gesture control to allow pinch zooming and swiping. Proximity sensors, USB and Bluetooth® connectivity and Keyless access are also among the features included with the #PinkBeetle. While we won’t know the 2017 Volkswagen #PinkBeetle release date as it will be announced closer to its launch, let us know if you’d be interested in getting the #PinkBeetle here at Speedcraft Volkswagen. Just contact us here and we’ll be sure to notify you when it becomes available. That way, you can be the first person to take it out for a test drive!
