The new Volkswagen Atlas will be making its debut for the 2018 model year. Volkswagen has designed the new SUV to be cutting edge, offering multiple engine options, impressive seating and storage space and an impressive collection of comfort, technology and safety features. The list of 2018 Volkswagen Atlas safety features is a long one.

Standard and Available Atlas Safety Systems

Several driver assistance safety features will be offered on the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. The SUV can be equipped with several systems. These include: Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warnings and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warnings and Park Steering Assistant.

In addition to these features, the Atlas will offer Volkswagen’s Post-Collision Braking System. The Atlas will be the only vehicle in its class to offer this feature. The Post-Collision Braking System will automatically apply the brakes after the initial impact of a collision to reduce additional damage.

Safety testing information and ratings are not yet available on the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas.

In addition to all of the safety systems, the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas will be offered with several other excellent technology features. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be offered on the new Atlas, along with the MirrorLink system and a Fender Premium Audio System.
