2016 Volkswagen Tiguan specs

July 24th, 2015 by

As a compact SUV, the Volkswagen Tiguan is capable of offering drivers both interior space and maneuverability. With all this and the additional interior features, the Tiguan is a great choice for commuters, carpoolers and families. That being said, we here at Speedcraft Volkswagen believe that it’s high time that the Tiguan gets an upgrade. Cue the 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan. Spotted heavily camouflaged in the Alps conducting towing tests, the new 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan specs show that the new Tiguan is getting a face-lift and an interior upgrade.

Even though it was camouflaged for its first sighting, it has been noted to feature a strong resemblance to the Passat, Cross Coupe CTE and the CrossBlue concepts. It’s been said to feature a new grille and headlight treatment for new and refreshing look. It also offers a more sporting roofline and an aggressively raking D-pillar.

While it hasn’t been announced yet, it’s safe for us to assume that the new 2016 VW Tiguan will feature Volkswagen’s usual selection of four-cylinder engines as well as an option for the VW TDI Clean Diesel. We also expect that buyers will have a choice between front and all-wheel drive.

One rumor surrounding the 2016 Tiguan is that there is the possibility of a new, 300 horsepower R Line model in the works that could be revealed in the future.
