2019 Volkswagen Atlas Trim Levels

It’s built for the family. We’re talking about the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas, a midsize SUV that’s ready for parents, kids, and whatever life throws at you in Warwick, Providence, and Coventry. The Speedcraft Volkswagen sales team is always excited about the entire lineup, but there’s something unique about the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas that has everyone excited.

As this SUV is available in different versions, it’s best to take a closer look at the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas trim levels to find the perfect match for your lifestyle.

Volkswagen Atlas S

2019 Volkswagen Atlas S Silver MetallicThe standard engine offering found under the hood of the Volkswagen Atlas is the 2.0L turbocharged engine. This makes 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It’s a performance engine, but it’s still a family SUV—how convenient is that?

The cabin can be set up to your liking, thanks to a 60/40-split folding second row, and 50/50-split folding third row. The standard cloth seating surfaces are comfortable, too, ensuring you’re happy, but also ensuring the happiness of passengers, even the little ones along for the ride.

If you don’t have any passengers to think about, you’ll have up to 96.8 cubic feet of cargo space, enough room for luggage, groceries, hiking gear, and so much more.

The standard 6.5-inch touchscreen puts you in control of things, with VW Car-Net® App-Connect functionality. It’s easy to link a smartphone to the touchscreen for access to text messages, navigation, and other apps you use each day.

Volkswagen Atlas SE

More power can be appealing to many drivers. You’ll find it in the SE trim, which comes standard with a 3.6L V6 engine with a bit more power than the entry-level VW Atlas. The V6 makes 276 horsepower and provides 266 lb-ft of torque, which can heighten the driving experience. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode, the gears shift effortlessly while providing a smooth drive.

Step inside the cabin and an immediate difference is obvious: This trim carries heated front seats along with V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces. This seating surface gives a classier feel to the cabin, while the heated seats keep you warm on a cold winter day.

From the driver’s seat, or for the eager passenger, the touchscreen is larger, measuring in at eight inches. Get going with the keyless access with push-button start technology, and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Volkswagen Atlas SE with Technology

2019 Volkswagen Atlas SEL Blue MetallicAs you may expect, this trim focuses on adding in some key tech features. Sometimes, it really is about the little things in life. The remote opening and closing power liftgate with closing assist is one of those convenient features. When you’re carrying a bunch of bags or items to your car, just press the button and the power liftgate will open up for simple load-in.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is also standard on this trim. It helps to maintain a preset speed and distance from the car up ahead. When it’s activated, it can actually bring your car to a stop if the car ahead does the same.

Volkswagen Atlas SEL

Loading things in is even more streamlined with the Volkswagen Atlas SEL. Keep the key in your pocket, wave your foot under the rear bumper, and the hatch will open up. After the cargo has been secured, press the button and the hatch will close within moments.

With the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, the traditional instrument cluster is replaced. Instead, you’ll see all the important vehicle information you need in the high-resolution cluster. This also carries a full-screen navigation view, so the map fills up the entire display and is easy to see.

Volkswagen Atlas Premium

2019 Volkswagen Atlas Platinum Gray MetallicThe top-end Volkswagen Atlas, the Premium comes with many of the features we’ve already discussed but adds on a few more worth discussing. Interior ambient lighting is one of them. When you want to set a certain mood inside the vehicle, activate the ambient lighting and you’ll be able to do just that.

This is the lone trim featuring standard ventilated front seats, too. We’ve talked about the heated front seats and what they are able to do. Ventilated seats keep you cool on a summer afternoon.

The 480-watt Fender® Premium Audio System ensures your songs sound more alive than ever before. Don’t be afraid to sing along, either.
