If you’re looking for ways to give back and get involved in our community here in Rhode Island, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities in the Wakefield area looking for assistance this Thanksgiving 2016. Here are just a few of the groups in our area looking for some volunteer help and donations.

Jonnycake Center of Peace Dale

Peace Dale, RI A local food pantry, the Jonnycake Center is looking for volunteers for Thanksgiving as well as any other time. The group provides food once a month to those in need. They are also accepting items for donation. Learn more about the group and how to help here.

South Kingstown, RI The New Life Assembly is a food pantry located in South Kingstown, RI. They are looking for donations and volunteers this holiday season.
