This impressive model features the must-have 4Motion All-Wheel Drive system which is able to send up to 50 percent of its drive torque to the back wheels when it detects a loss in traction.While this feature is available for the SportWagen, drivers have to upgrade in order to get it. A part of the model’s Driving Mode Selector, the Alltrack is able to use its Off-Road Mode which features hill descent control and better traction control on loose and other off-road terrain.

Design Differences

Though the exteriors of the two models are undeniably similar, there are a few things that have been added to the Alltrack to set it apart from its SportWagen twin. This includes new body cladding, which offers an extra protective layer of metal to its exterior to prevent scratches and other damage in high-wear areas. Another big change made to the Alltrack is its new front grille. While the SportWagen features a front grille similar to that of the other Golf family members, the Alltrack instead has a unique honeycomb grille, giving it its own distinct look to match its distinct performance.
