2017 Volkswagen e-Golf Performance and Range
The upgrade to the battery and motor lead to increases in both the performance and range numbers for the 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf. The new system now produces 134 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque. This is an increase from the 115 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque offered on the 2016 e-Golf.
Range is one of the most important factors car shoppers consider when looking at an electric vehicle. The EPA estimated total range for the 2017 e-Golf checks in at 125 miles on a single charge. This number has gone up from the 83-mile range offered by previous models. Fuel economy estimates are rated at 126 MPGe in the city and 111 MPGe on the highways.
